DRY CHEMICAL POWDER EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS

Dry Chemical Powder Extinguishing Systems

In the dry chemical powder extinguishing system, there is a chemical powder used as an extinguisher, cylinders in which the powder will be stored, cylinders filled with nitrogen gas to push the powder, pipework and nozzles that allow this powder to be discharged to the fire area. These systems, used in ABCD type fires, are ideal for hazardous areas with solid density. The dry chemical powder used in the system creates a layer on the burning materials, preventing the flames from contacting the air and extinguishing the fire. The disadvantage of this automatic and manual extinguishing system compared to other systems is that it leaves waste. The extinguished area is covered with chemical extinguishing powder after the extinguishing event, so it is not preferred in sensitive rooms. The extinguishing speed is very high and refill costs are low.
