Gas Extinguishing Systems
With the ban on the use of Halon 1301 gas due to its ozone depleting effect, FM-200 gas and inert gas mixtures that cause harm in this way, automatic gas combustion systems came to the fore. These gases are used in consumer electronic panels, transformer rooms, control rooms, power rooms, etc., as they do not damage electrical/electronic devices, are non-conductive and clean. It is preferred for extinguishing explosives in areas where regional and electronic devices are located, in safe rooms and archives.
Since it is more economical than carbon dioxide gas, FM-200 and inert gases, it finds application in places where there are no people (archives, suspended ceilings and floors, etc.) and especially in large volumes.
Automatic gas extinguishing systems are designed and installed in accordance with international standards, either as stand-alone systems or as an integrated part of a larger conventional or addressable detection system.
